During the plenary session of the Third Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that republic's economy grew by 6% in 2023, nearly doubling its growth rate in recent years.
"Our economy has nearly doubled in recent years, with a growth rate reaching 6% by the end of last year," he said.
Mirziyoyev highlighted Uzbekistan's success in attracting foreign investments, stating, "We have managed to secure over $60 billion in foreign investments for our country in recent years."
Furthermore, the president disclosed that Uzbekistan has implemented measures to incentivize foreign investment, such as exempting foreign investors from taxes on dividends for a period of three years.
