Each of us has been to a park at least once. You should agree that it is pleasant to spend time outdoors with friends in a place that is a small oasis of intact nature. But have you ever heard of the Quran Park?

Place of peace

The world’s first Quran Park opened on a Muslim holy day, Friday, on March 29 in Al Khawaneej area, Dubai. Every visitor can learn more about the miracles mentioned in the Holy Quran.

The park of 60 hectares contains about 54 plants mentioned in the Holy Quran, including figs, pomegranates, olive trees, grapes, bananas, wheat, ginger, onions, garlic and others. There is also the “Cave of Miracles” equipped with modern advanced technologies, with the help of which visitors can learn about the amazing phenomena of the Quran.

Apart from the Umrah corner, there is also an outdoor theatre, the Glass House, an administrative building, playgrounds for children, a desert garden, a palm oasis, a lake, fountains, running, cycling and walking paths.

According to the masterminds, the main purpose of creating such an unusual park is the desire to establish intellectual and cultural interaction between different religions, peoples and cultures, to show visitors the beauty of Islam and to tell them about the holy for all Muslims book, to convey its wisdom and depth.

What can one find there?

The regional areas of the Quran Park are designed to visualize the miracles of Islam mentioned in the Quran. While walking through the cave tunnel, visitors are introduced to some stories and miracles from the Holy Scriptures. But special attention should be paid to an unusual surprise – using holograms and projection screens, the Quran Park shows visitors how, when and where this or that historical event took place.

Using geography, landscape design and ecology to showcase several stories from the history of Islam, the park’s creators did their best to highlight figurative and literary expressions and symbolic elements of Prophets’ miracles. Besides, with the help of technologies, the park clearly and visually conveys those scientific and cultural achievements that can be found in the pages of the Quran.
