31 October 2022

All members of the Astana format on Syria (Russia, Iran and Turkey) are interested in holding another international meeting, but so far there are no specific dates, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters on Monday.

"There is no particular agreement yet, but we are close to it," he said, answering a question to TASS about the timing of the meeting. "Today we have held a meeting with our colleagues here. In principle, everyone is ready and interested in holding another meeting," the deputy minister added.

Previously, Bogdanov told TASS that the next international meeting on Syria in the Astana format is planned before the end of the year. The previous such event was held on June 15-16, 2022, in the capital of Kazakhstan.
