Syria remains steadfast in countering armed terrorist groups in the northern regions and will not permit them to achieve their objectives. This was asserted by Syrian Foreign Minister Bassam Sabbagh during a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi.
In the discussion, Sabbagh briefed Araghchi on the battlefield developments following attacks by terrorist factions in northern Syria. He emphasized the resolve of the Syrian government and people to repel these aggressions.
"The Syrian government and its people are resisting the assaults of terrorist groups with full force. As always, terrorists and their supporters will fail to achieve their evil goals," the Iranian Foreign Ministry quoted Sabbagh as saying.
