Russia and the Arab League are discussing preparations for the next meeting of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum at the ministerial level, which is scheduled for this year. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this on Friday at a meeting of the United Russia party's general council commission on international cooperation and support for compatriots.
"We plan to develop interaction within as part of strengthening the strategic dialogue between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as along the Russia-Arab League line. There is a ministerial forum between us and the League, and we are now discussing preparations for its next meeting to be held this year," Lavrov said.
