Elite units of Iranian Armed Forces received new missiles and UAVs for ships

"The multipurpose ship "Shahid Mahdavi" received cruise missiles with a range of 300-750 km, unmanned aerial vehicles [UAVs] "Sepehr-5" with a range of 200 km and kamikaze drones with a range of 1,700 km. The "Ashura" boat is equipped with "Kowsar-300" missiles with a range of 10 km, and the helicopter carrier "Shahid Suleimani" is equipped with "Sayyad-3" missiles with a range of 150 km," Tasnim quoted him as saying.


Tangsiri noted that the "Shahid Suleimani" is also armed with cruise missiles capable of hitting a target at a range of up to 750 kilometers.


According to the commander, the Iranian boats can reach speeds of 70 to 90 knots per hour and launch missiles at speeds of up to 60 knots per hour. They are armed with missiles with a range of 120 km, and could be replaced in the future by missiles that can be used up to 140 km.


Tangsiri said the IRGC Navy will receive two more "Shahid Suleimani"-class vessels next year: "Shahid Hasan Bagheri" and "Shahid Sayyad Shirazi."
