A fire broke out at a construction site near Abu Dhabi International Airport. In addition, another fire broke out in an industrial area of Abu Dhabi on Monday, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital's police service said on its Twitter page.

"A fire broke out this morning in the Al Musaffah area, which caused three fuel tanks near fuel storage units to explode <...> A small fire also broke out at a construction site near Abu Dhabi International Airport <...> No one was injured," the report stressed.

According to preliminary information, the cause of both incidents could be the fall of drones. Abu Dhabi police reported that both fires have already been extinguished. Authorities in the emirate have launched an investigation into the incidents.

The fire on the territory of Abu Dhabi airport did not affect the schedule of arrivals and departures, the TV channel Al Arabiya reported.

Meanwhile, according to the Almasirah TV channel, the Yemeni insurgent movement Ansar Allah (Houthis) has claimed responsibility for the attack on Abu Dhabi. According to Yahya Saria, a spokesman for the insurgents, they will give details of the military operation in the UAE in the next few hours.

Last week, Mohammed al-Bahiti, a member of Ansar Allah's leadership, warned that the insurgents would launch missile strikes on UAE territory if the country did not stop armed interference in the Yemeni conflict.
