The current problems in the world are often the consequences of failed adventures of the collective West, especially those undertaken in the Middle East, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday at a meeting with participants in the annual scientific and educational program of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund "Dialogue for the Future."
"It is completely ignored that a very large part of today's problems are created by the collective West. Look at the consequences of those adventures that the West has undertaken in Iraq, and Libya, and in Syria. The result was a surge of terrorism, huge waves of illegal migration that swept over Europe and continue to this day, and, of course, the undermining of stability in the Sahara-Sahel region," he said.
The minister also noted that the Western partners cannot get rid of their feeling of superiority, which has accompanied them for more than 500 years. According to him, they still think that everyone else should obey their decisions. Lavrov stressed that Russia does not want this kind of philosophy to prevail in the international arena.
