The militants are preparing a provocation using poisonous chemicals in the southern part of the Idlib de-escalation zone in Syria, Rear Admiral Alexander Grinkevich, the Deputy Head of the Russian Center for Conciliation of the Warring Parties said.
"The Russian Center for Reconciliation has received information about another attempt by militants of illegal armed groups to organize a poisoned provocation in the southern part of Idlib de-escalation zone to accuse government forces of the Syrian Arab Republic in the use of chemical weapons against civilians," Grinkevich said.
The terrorists have already delivered several barrels of chlorine to the area of Safahun, he said.
"Representatives of the White Helmets pseudo-humanitarian organization arrived in three cars to help the victims," the Rear Admiral said.
In late September, Grinkevich also reported that the militants planned to stage the firing with poisonous substances at civilians in the Idlib de-escalation zone for provocations against government forces. The plan was to fake the shelling in Beitarun, Aleppo and Bidama communities in Idlib province, to accuse Syrian government forces of using chemical weapons against civilians.
