The Chairman of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia and Moscow’s Mufti, Albir Krganov, praised the residents of the Kemerovo region (Kuzbass) for their significant contributions in aiding servicemen involved in the special military operation (SMO). He also highlighted the region's exemplary state-religious relations.

"I would like to emphasize the crucial role of the Religious Board of Muslims in the Kemerovo region in fostering interfaith and interethnic dialogue. State-religious relations in your region are at a commendable level," Krganov stated at the V Interregional Conference "Islam in Siberia: Past, Present, and Prospects." He added, "The support from Kuzbass residents for our servicemen during the special military operation, both humanitarian and emotional, is invaluable. Your letters to those on the front lines mean a great deal."

Humanitarian Aid and Volunteer Contributions

The press service of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia detailed ongoing efforts in Kuzbass mosques, where humanitarian aid continues to be collected. Approximately 200 tons of food and 2 million rubles have been donated. With the help of sponsors, vehicles such as a UAZ, motorcycles, and spare parts were also provided.

Additionally, imams from the Kemerovo region’s Spiritual Administration of Muslims have undergone specialized training on post-trauma care. The program focuses on addressing post-traumatic stress and post-war syndromes stemming from socio-political conflicts.

The press service also noted that many mosque congregants and activists have voluntarily joined the SMO efforts.
