A powerful explosion hit the arrival hall of Aden airport in the south of Yemen, a source told RIA Novosti.
It happened as members of the new government were arriving from Riyadh. Five people were killed and about 20 wounded. The Ministers were still on the plane, so there were no casualties. They were transported to the government palace.
Earlier, Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is in Saudi Arabia, appointed a new government of 24 ministers. It includes five representatives of the Transitional Council of South Yemen, which advocates the separation of the south of the republic.
Aden became the temporary capital of Yemen's internationally recognized authorities after the 2014 Houthis revolt.
