Putin and Erdogan topped the popularity rating of politicians in Arab countries

25 June 2019

The British Broadcasting Company (famous as BBC) conducted a large-scale survey in Arab countries, whose participants were asked to answer topical questions from various aspects of life.

The survey was conducted in 10 Arab countries, including Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq and Yemen. More than 25 thousand people took part in it.

Among other things, residents of Arab countries asked for sympathy in politics. Thus, the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan turned out to be the most popular foreign leader in the Arab world. In second place is Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The most unpopular foreign leader is the US President Donald Trump.

Survey participants characterized security as one of the main problems of the Arab world and the Middle East.

The greatest threat to the stability and national security of the region, according to the respondents, are Israel and the United States.
