Putin congratulated Emomali Rahmon on Tajikistan's Independence Day

Russian president Vladimir Putin congratulated Tajik president Emomali Rahmon on the 30th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence, noting that Russia attaches great importance to the relations of alliance and strategic partnership between the two countries, the Kremlin press service reported.


"Your country is successfully advancing on the path of socio-economic development, playing a constructive role in addressing important issues on the regional and international agenda. We attach great importance to the relations of alliance and strategic partnership with Tajikistan," the message reads.


It was added that the Russian leader expressed confidence that through joint efforts, the countries will ensure the further increase of bilateral cooperation in various directions, as well as cooperation within the CIS, CSTO, SCO and other structures.


"This fully meets the interests of our friendly peoples and is in line with the strengthening of peace, security and stability in Central Asia," the Russian president stressed.
