Putin had a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud exchanged views on the implementation of the OPEC+ agreements. This was reported on Monday by the Kremlin press service following a telephone conversation initiated by the Saudi side.


"Vladimir Putin and Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud also exchanged views on the implementation of agreements in the OPEC+ format," the statement said. - "The intention for continued close coordination between Russia and Saudi Arabia in the interests of maintaining stability in the global energy market was emphasized".


Putin and Mohammed bin Salman also "considered the topic of combating the spread of coronavirus infection, including the possibility of using Russian vaccines in Saudi Arabia," and discussed the development of Russian-Saudi ties in various fields, including in the context of the 95th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, celebrated this February.


In addition, the sides expressed mutual interest in boosting cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres. According to the Kremlin, the conversation also "touched on regional problems, in particular the situation in Syria and the Persian Gulf".


The Russian President and the Crown Prince agreed to continue maintaining contacts between the countries at various levels.
