Reshetnikov and Minnikhanov open KazanSummit-2021 International Economic Forum

The XII International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021" opened on Wednesday. On its site, Russia Halal Expo-2021 is organized, which was visited after the opening ceremony by Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.


"I welcome everyone to the opening of the Russia-Islamic World Summit. I would like to thank the large team of Tatarstan for organizing this large-scale event, for holding it for the 12th time. Despite the peculiarities of the situation, there is an opportunity to meet face to face, look each other in the eyes and talk [about] how the world is changing, how important is the openness of Russia, how important is the integration into new opportunities and talk about interaction with the Islamic world," said Reshetnikov at the opening ceremony.

 

 

He added that halal is a sector of the economy that has a huge potential both inside the country, and export potential, it's issues of investment, fashion, culture.


In his turn, the President of Tatarstan pointed out that cooperation between Russia and the Islamic world is a priority, determined by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.


Russia Halal Expo will allow companies to present themselves, establish business contacts and conduct negotiations, including with the participants of KazanSummit.


The 12th International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic world: KazanSummit 2021" will last until July 30. Representatives of 48 countries and 25 regions of Russia are taking part. The summit aims to develop cooperation and maintain a dialogue between Russia and member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the economic, political and cultural spheres.
