The presidents of Russia and Turkey to meet on October 22

Russian and Turkish presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet in Sochi on October 22, the Press Secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

 

 


According to him, the main topic of the talks will be the situation in Syria.

 

 


Putin invited Erdogan to visit Russia during a telephone conversation held on October 15 and initiated by the Turkish side.

 

 


The heads of the states discussed the situation in Syria and, in particular, Ankara's operation in the North-East of the Arab Republic.
