Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov hold a meeting with the Organization of Islamic Cooperations (OIC) Secretary-General Yousef Al-Othaimeen.
In particular, he stressed that Moscow appreciates the opportunity to continue discussing topical issues between Russia and the OIC.
"We appreciate our dialogue on the issues of global development, most notably on resolving current crises in the Islamic world", - Lavrov said.
He also noted that it is important to coordinate stances based on certain decisions of the UN Security Council on such issues as the Palestinian-Israeli settlement, crises in Syria, Yemen, Libya and other parts of the world. The Russian Foreign Minister recalled the relevance of efforts to combat international terrorism.
Lavrov mentioned that the OIC 50-years anniversary will be celebrated on September 25 and Russia has planned a series of activities in honor of this. "We will be glad to host you and your colleagues", - the Foreign Minister concluded.
