Armenian Defense Ministry claimed that Turkish F-16 shot down Armenian Su-25

The Armenian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday that a Turkish F-16 fighter aircraft shot down an Armenian Su-25. The military department points out that the Turkish plane on the territory of Azerbaijan covered the actions of the armed forces of this republic, which struck the Armenian city of Vardenis.


"Today at 10:30 Turkish F-16 fighters took off from the Ganja airfield and covered up the attacks of Azerbaijani forces on the territory of Vardenis city, Mets Mastik and Sotq villages. Turkey's F-16 fighter shot down Su-25 of the Armenian Air Force, which was performing a combat mission. Unfortunately, the pilot died heroically. The fighter of the Turkish Air Force was 60 km deep (towards the territory of Azerbaijan), at an altitude of 8,200 meters", - the release notes.
