Bulgarian Islamic Academy and al-Azhar University to sign cooperation agreement

A delegation of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy headed by its rector Daniyar Abdrakhmanov paid a working visit to Cairo.


According to the press service of the Academy, the trip started with visiting Al-Azhar University, one of the world's oldest and most prestigious Muslim universities. There was a meeting with the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Yusuf Amir.


He said that for the past eight years, al-Azhar has been developing a distance e-learning program, and stressed that the Bulgarian Academy students could also use this option. In addition, he told about the possibility of accessing the University's library resource.


It is planned that an agreement on scientific cooperation between al-Azhar and the Bulgarian Islamic Academy will be signed in the near future.
