The first case of infection with a new type of coronavirus was detected in Niger. The infected is a bus driver who has Nigerian citizenship, Tam Tam Info reports with reference to the Ministry of Health of the country. He recently returned to Niger from Côte d'Ivoire.

In the world, more than 209 thousand people in 166 countries have been infected with the coronavirus, and more than 8.6 thousand died.
