The delegation of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia headed by mufti Albir Hazrat Krganov paid a working visit to the United States. According to the press service of the Assembly, during the meetings with representatives of confessions, public organizations and scientific circles the issues of prevention of pseudo-religious extremism, fight against international terrorism, strengthening of interreligious dialogue and implementation of socially significant projects aimed at working with young people and migrants were discussed.
On December 6, the Russian delegation visited the ADAMS Islamic center in Washington and the international interfaith peace corps, where they met with the head of these organizations, Sheikh Muhammad Majid. Following the meeting, the parties signed an agreement on cooperation.
According to various estimates, about 10 million Muslims live in the United States, there are 2106 mosques.
