Deputy Chairman of GSV "Russia – Islamic World," Farit Mukhametshin, Awarded the Duslyk Order

Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Group Strategic Vision  "Russia – Islamic World" Rustam Minnikhanov has presented the "Duslyk" ("Friendship") Order to Farit Mukhametshin, Deputy Chairman of the Group, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation, and Doctor of Political Sciences.

 

The award recognizes Mukhametshin's significant contributions to strengthening the international reputation of the Republic of Tatarstan, his many years of dedicated service, and his active public engagement.

 

 

About Farit Mukhametshin

 

Farit Mubarakovich Mukhametshin is a Russian statesman and diplomat. A former Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, he is a graduate of the Kazan Aviation Institute, the Diplomatic Academy of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Russian Law Academy of the Ministry of Justice.

 

In 1998, he defended his dissertation at the Diplomatic Academy on the topic "Islam in the Political Life of Russia."

 

From 2018 to 2024, Mukhametshin served as a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation (senator), representing the executive authority of the Samara Region. Since 2019, he has held the position of Deputy Chairman of the GSV "Russia – Islamic World."
