Iran's leadership remains committed to strengthening its relationship with Russia, with high-level meetings playing a crucial role in elevating bilateral cooperation. This was stated by Iran's First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref, during talks with Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev.

"Iran's determination to enhance relations with Russia is unwavering at the highest levels. We place great importance on establishing long-term and comprehensive cooperation with the Russian Federation," said Aref, according to his press office. He emphasized the untapped potential for boosting bilateral economic ties, including increasing trade volumes between the two nations.

A day earlier, Tsivilev met with Iran's Energy Minister, Abbas Aliabadi, to discuss expanding collaboration in energy and industry. Their discussions covered potential developments in electricity production, renewable energy, and scientific and technical partnerships in the energy sector.
