An agreement on joint educational programs has been signed between Osh State University (OshSU) and Lomonosov Moscow State University. This was reported on Tuesday by the press service of the Kyrgyz university.
"Moscow State University is hosting the 15th congress of the Eurasian Association of Universities, in which representatives of OshSU also participate. During the event, Rectors of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy and OshSU Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov signed agreements on the establishment of the Lomonosov Center at OshSU and on joint educational double degree programs," the report said.
Graduates of two higher educational institutions studying tourism, international relations, mathematics and computer science, applied mathematics and informatics will be able to receive Russian and Kyrgyz diplomas simultaneously if they wish.
Based on Kyrgyz-Russian agreements in Osh the construction of a five-story building of Moscow State University branch was completed in the fall of 2022. It is expected to be open next academic year, with departments of mathematics, computer science, geology, and Russian language and literature.
