Lavrov says there is a critical moment in the situation around the JCPOA

Russia expects that the United States will soon be able to decide on its future actions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

"We will continue our joint work within the framework of implementing the JCPOA to resolve the situation around the Iranian nuclear program. Now there is a critical moment. Again we expect that the US administration as a country which negotiated and concluded the JCPOA will determine to what extent they can return to this most important international document, which was recognized as an achievement of multilateral diplomacy and was an example of the efforts that should be taken both to defuse tensions in various hot spots and to strengthen the nuclear weapons nonproliferation regime," the Minister said at a press conference following talks with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
