"Chingiz Aitmatov is personal, mine, what I see in this world through his work. He was one of the first to oppose the destruction of the nation's identity. He always spoke about it, in each of his works, in each of his actions," Leyla Fazleeva, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan said. "No one will ever be able to abolish human values-actions for the greater good, desire to make the world a better place."
Kazan hosts the III International Forum of writers and intellectuals. During the Aitmatov Readings Grigoriy Nakhapetov will present his film about Chingiz Aitmatov. Also, a round table on the role of national literature in a globalizing world is to be held.
