Minnikhanov: Tatarstan's trade with OIC countries has reached $ 1.5 billion

Today, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who heads the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic World", has met with Ambassadors and Plenipotentiaries of the Member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.  According to the Press Office of the Head of the Republic, Diplomats from Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Egypt, Indonesia, Yemen, Tunisia, Sudan and Uganda took part in the meeting.

 

 

Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Minnikhanov mentioned, that “KazanSummit every year becomes an increasingly authoritative platform for discussing topical issues related to Islamic finance, partner banking and the halal lifestyle.

 

 

Meanwhile, according to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, today the country's leadership is paying special attention to the issues of cooperation with the Islamic world.

 

 

“Every year with working visits we visit a number of Muslim countries. Tatarstan also hosts various OIC delegations. The trade of Tatarstan with the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation amounts to $ 1.5 billion and demonstrates dynamic growth”, the Head of the Republic pointed out, in particular.

 

 

It is known that the delegations of the OIC member countries arrived in Kazan to participate in the XIth International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit-2019", which today has started in the Republic of Tatarstan.
