Putin and Aliyev stressed the importance of continuing cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries

Russian president Vladimir Putin and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev confirmed in a telephone conversation the importance of continuing active and constructive cooperation through the parliaments of the two countries. Aliyev congratulated Putin on the successful State duma elections, the Kremlin press service said Monday.


"Both sides confirmed the importance of continuing active and constructive cooperation through the parliaments of the two countries," the report said.


The Azerbaijani president also expressed deep condolences in connection with the tragic accident in Perm State University, which caused human casualties.


The sides agreed on further personal contacts.
