17 April 2019

Relations between the two countries Russia and Tajikistan are allied in its true sense of the word. This was stated by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin during the negotiations with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

«We don’t need to characterize our relations, there are truly allied relations, in its true sense of the word, a strategic partnership», Putin noted, specifying that there is a political dialogue between the states and cooperation in various fields, both literally and in the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) format.

Rahmon, in turn, stressed out that Russia is a key strategic partner and ally of Tajikistan.

«Russia occupies a leading place in the trade and economic cooperation of Tajikistan. The cooperation of the two parties in the humanitarian sphere is on the rise, and cooperation in the field of security is being strengthened», Rahmon pointed out.
