Russian President Vladimir Putin has commended Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for his personal commitment to advancing relations between Russia and Malaysia. Speaking after their meeting, Putin highlighted the growing momentum in bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
“Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is making a significant personal contribution to the development of an equitable Russian-Malaysian partnership, especially in the economic sphere,” Putin said.
He recalled Anwar’s participation as guest of honor at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok last year and noted the Malaysian leader’s upcoming visit to Tatarstan, where he will attend the Kazan Economic Forum 'Russia – Islamic World'.
Putin also emphasized the regular and multi-level engagement between the two countries, including ties between their parliaments, regional governments, foreign ministries, security councils, and other key institutions.
