Putin submits air defense agreement with Tajikistan for ratification in State Duma

Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted an agreement on the creation of a joint regional system of air defense between Russia and Tajikistan to the State Duma for ratification. The document was published in the Duma electronic database.


The document states that in order to increase the effectiveness of air defense tasks in the region, the parties will create a joint regional air defense system, which is a part of the joint air defense system of the CIS member states.


It is noted that the agreement will be signed for five years and its validity will be automatically extended for subsequent periods of five years.
