Russian Deputy Foreign Minister discussed Middle East situation with British Prime Minister's Adviser

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin and British Prime Minister's International Affairs Adviser and Deputy National Security Adviser David Quarrey discussed the situation in the Middle East region by telephone on Friday.


"The current situation in the Middle East region was discussed in detail in light of Russia and Britain's interaction in the UN Security Council. Particular attention was paid to the situation in Syria, Libya and the Palestinian-Israeli settlement," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
