The time and venue of the second Russia-Africa summit have not been finalized; it is possible that the meeting will be held in a video format, Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, told TASS on Tuesday.
"We have not yet made a final decision as regards the place and time of the Russia-Africa summit," the diplomat said, - "We will try to make it happen offline, but all kinds of variants are possible, including a video format".
Bogdanov also said he may represent Russia at the African Union summit in Addis Ababa.
"The issue of the [RF-Africa] summit will also be discussed there," he pointed out. - "But they say that access to the headquarters is closed in Ethiopia, so the meetings will take place outside of it. So there are a lot of circumstances related to coronavirus restrictions."
