Russian Navy to use the point of MTS in Sudan for 25 years

The Russian Navy will be able for 25 years to use the point of material and technical support in Sudan, follows from the text of the agreement between Russia and Sudan dated December 1, 2020, published on Tuesday on the portal of legal information.

 

"This agreement is valid for 25 years and is automatically extended for subsequent 10-year periods unless either party notifies the other party in writing through diplomatic channels of its intention to terminate it, at least one year before the expiration of the next period", the document says.

 

 

The agreement to establish a logistics point for the Russian Navy in Sudan became known in November 2020, according to the document, the maximum number of personnel of the Navy, whose work is carried out by the forces and means of the Russian side, will not exceed 300 people. No more than four Russian ships will be able to stay there at the same time.
