Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of condolences to Pakistani President in connection with the crash of a plane

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of condolences to President of Pakistan Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

 

"Russia shares the grief of those who lost their relatives and friends in this disaster, and hopes for a speedy recovery of all the injured," the telegram reads in part.

 

An Airbus A320 has crashed into a residential area near the southern Pakistani city of Karachi, according to the list, the flight was carrying 91 passengers and 8 crew members.

 

As Wasim Akhtar, Karachi mayor reports, all of them were killed.

 

As a result of the incident, several residential buildings were destroyed, about 20 local residents were saved from the collapsed buildings. Rescuers and the military are working at the crash site.

 

The Pakistani authorities consider a possible cause of the tragedy to be a technical failure but emphasize that it is too early to draw conclusions.

 

Prime Minister Imran Khan announced an immediate investigation into the crash.
