Saudi energy company Saudi Aramco and Russia's Gazprom Neft have signed a Memorandum of understanding.
The signing ceremony, according to RIA Novosti, took place on the sidelines of the Russian-Saudi investment forum, organized as part of the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Saudi Arabia.
Vladimir Putin arrived in Riyadh on his first state visit in 12 years.
The Russian leader held a meeting with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Main topics of the talks with the Saudi authorities are the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, the expansion of multifaceted cooperation in various areas, such as energy, agriculture, industry, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, military-technical cooperation.
Following the talks, it is planned to sign about 30 joint documents - both interdepartmental and commercial.
