Sheikh-ul-Islam Talgat Tadzhuddin: We Have One Enemy – Satan

16 May

The Supreme Mufti and Chairman of the Central Religious Board of Muslims of Russia, Sheikh-ul-Islam Talgat Tadzhuddin, addressed the plenary session of the Group of Strategic Vision  “Russia – Islamic World” on the topic “The Experience of Russia and the  Islamic World in Youth Policy: Common Challenges and Joint Actions.”

“It is a great honor for me to be here, in this great country of Russia—a land that has united many peoples. We value our relationships and remember the lessons of history, especially the tragedy of the Great Patriotic War, in which our people lost millions of lives,” Tadzhuddin recalled.

He emphasized that Russia has been built for centuries on mutual respect among religions. “We recognize Jesus as a messenger of God… and that is why we have always lived in peace and harmony,” the mufti said.

Tadzhuddin expressed concern over current global threats, particularly the erosion of traditional values and ongoing wars. “The Islamic Ummah is suffering greatly, especially in our dearly beloved and long-suffering Palestine,” he noted.

“The strength of Russia lies not in its weapons, but in its unity. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned us against division and called us to follow the path of his companions. We are all members of the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ, and our call for peace must be made through kind words—not war,” the mufti urged. “Let us remember: we have one enemy—Satan, and one goal—peace. May the Almighty help us all!”
