Today, the fifth anniversary Forum of Muslim journalists and bloggers, which is held under the auspices of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic World", starts in St. Petersburg. The event is attended by about 60 delegates: journalists, publishers, politicians, public figures, etc from Russia and foreign countries.
The main topic of the Forum is "The influence of the Media on public opinion and the formation of the international agenda". In addition, the participants will discuss such topics as "Information and psychological warfare and its influence on public opinion", "Freedom of journalism in the context of human rights", " Fake news: response and counteraction strategies", etc.
Deputy Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic World", Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation on Foreign Affairs Farid Mukhametshin will welcome the participants on behalf of the Chairman of the Group, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
Following the results of discussions, a final document is planned to be adopted.
