Interregional relations are an important segment of the Russian-Tajik strategic partnership. This is stated in the greeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin to participants, organizers and guests of the VIIth Conference on Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan, which takes place in Moscow.

«At the present time, there are already more than 80 agreements on cooperation between the regions of the two states in various spheres. Joint trade, economic, infrastructural, industrial, scientific, technical, social and humanitarian projects are being implemented, conditions are being created for improving the investment climate», the telegram notes.
It is known that the VIIth Interregional Conference of Russia and Tajikistan is taking place of the official visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who has arrived in Moscow at the invitation of Vladimir Putin.
