Today, May 19, as part of the XIII International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit 2022" and the opening of the International Halal Industry Exhibition "RUSSIA HALAL EXPO" a plenary session on "The economy of shared consumption and the common good of Halal" with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia - Islamic World" Rustam Minnikhanov was held.
Yusuf Erim, editor-in-chief of TRT World (Turkey) moderated the session.
He welcomed all the participants and presidium members: "The Russian Federation attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with Muslim countries. Tatarstan is actively involved in relations with Islamic countries. The Republic is interested in deepening trade relations with the Islamic world, being a part of it."
"In October 2021 Kazan was elected the OIC Youth Capital. This is a clear indicator of the recognition of Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan as custodians of traditions. This city is a vivid example of how representatives of different nationalities and different faiths live in an atmosphere of friendship and love," Yusuf Erim concluded his opening speech.
The meeting began with a reading of the Holy Quran by Mufti Kamil Hazrat Samigullin.
