The Russia – Islamic World strategic vision group has finished receiving submissions for the annual international 2017 Primakov Award.

 

2017 Primakov Award Call For Nominations Over

 

The International Primakov Russia – Islamic World Award is conferred for a contribution to strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation between Russia and Islamic countries, to enriching cultural and national traditions, and developing dialogue between religions and civilizations.

 



The jury includes chairman Vitaly Naumkin (RAS academician, member of the research council of the Russian Council for International Affairs), Group Coordinator Veniamin Popov, Ramil Khairutdinov, Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu (Turkey), Ghassan Ben Jeddou (Lebanon), and Ezzat Saad (Egypt).

 

 


The publications should be in Russian (for CIS countries), English, or Arabic.  

 



The prize for the first place is $50,000 and $25,000 for the second place.



FYI: before submission the publication should have been made available to the general public.

The award was announced during the second International Forum of Jounrnalists from Muslim Countries Against Extremism that took place on April 20-21, 2016 in Moscow.
