“The Ministry of Health approved the amendments to the instructions for medical use. The Sputnik V vaccine is approved for inoculating people at the age of 18 and over. Thus, citizens over 60 years are able to be vaccinated against the new coronavirus infection”, he said, highlighting the fact that mass vaccination is underway in all Russian regions.

Murashko also noted that the expert evaluation had proved the efficacy and safety of the vaccine for senior citizens over 60 years.

Russia began vaccination against the new coronavirus on 10 December. On 14 December, Murashko reported that the vaccine had been delivered to all regions of Russia as part of the large-scale vaccination campaign.
