Putin discussed threats related to the use of artificial intelligence with the Russian Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed on Friday with members of the Russian Security Council the fight against national security threats related to the use of artificial intelligence in the armies of other countries.


"You and I are holding a regular meeting today of the permanent members of the Russian Security Council and we will talk today about a very important, very sensitive topic. We will talk about neutralizing threats to our country's national security associated with the development of artificial intelligence technologies for military purposes in the world's leading armies," Putin said as he opened the meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council.


The head of state gave the floor to Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, who made a presentation on the topic indicated by the President.
