Putin to self-isolate

Russian president Vladimir Putin said in a conversation with Tajik president Emomali Rahmon that he was forced to go into self-isolation due to cases of covid in his entourage, the Kremlin press service reported on Tuesday.


"Vladimir Putin said that due to the detected cases of coronavirus in his entourage, he has to comply with the regime of self-isolation for a certain period of time," the report said.

 

 

With this in mind, the Russian president will take part in this week's session of the CSTO Collective security council in Dushanbe, a meeting of the Council of heads of state of the Shanghai cooperation organization and a joint meeting of the CSTO and SCO heads of state via video conferencing, the Kremlin said.


The leaders also discussed some topical aspects of bilateral relations and the situation related to the events in Afghanistan.
