About 500 servicemen took part in the exercise, more than 70 units of military equipment were involved.

"A simulated enemy attacked a column of military equipment from the air with the help of attack drones. Crews of infantry fighting vehicles detected low-flying aerial targets and destroyed them with standard weapons," the press service reported.

It is noted that the accumulation of enemy equipment and manpower reconnaissance units detected with the help of quadcopters, which also serve to objectively assess the defeat of targets and correct the fire of motorized rifle, artillery and tank units.

In 2020, the Strategic Command and Staff Exercise "Caucasus 2020" took place in the Southern Military District. In addition to the Russian military, a coalition of troops from the PRC, Pakistan, Belarus, Armenia and Myanmar took part in them. As part of the maneuvers in the Caspian Sea, joint tasks were carried out by crews of Caspian Flotilla ships and Iran. This year, the district's servicemen will take part in 10 international military exercises, including those with Algeria, India and Turkey.
