The main goal of the Russian authorities' actions is for children to grow up happy in a prosperous and sovereign country, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Everything we do in the broadest sense of the word in demography, in education, in economy, in security, is driven by the main thing - to make our children, the youth grow up happy, live in a prosperous, sovereign country," the head of state said.
On Thursday, he addressed participants of the pilot educational program "Mentor school" via video link.
