Representatives of three major religious denominations from different regions of Russia are taking part in the VII international interreligious youth forum, which opens in Dagestan on Sunday, the Minister of National policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic Enrik Muslimov told TASS.

"The forum will feature all three major faiths-Judaism, Orthodoxy, and Islam. Forum participants from different regions of Russia will get acquainted with the culture and traditions of other faiths for seven days, hold educational events and games aimed at fostering interethnic peace and harmony," Muslimov said.

The main goal of the forum, according to the organizers, is the spiritual, moral and patriotic education of young people, promotion of the culture of interethnic and interfaith communication in society, as well as countering the manifestations of terrorism.

According to Enrik Muslimov, the forum will be held on the basis of the "Kaspiy" resort in the Karabudakhen district, located on the shore of the Caspian sea. It will include lectures by religious leaders of three faiths.

Forum program

According to the press service of the Republican Ministry of National Policy and Religious Affairs, the forum program included meetings with politicians, well-known religious and public figures, scientists, and athletes.
