Russian President Vladimir Putin expects Sberbank's cooperation with Kazakh partners to strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

On the margins of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) on Friday, a memorandum was signed on cooperation in the implementation of projects for the digital transformation of Kazakhstan, the transition to a platform model of digitalization and the concept of Data Driven Government. Russian and Kazakh presidents Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the ceremony via video link.

The Russian leader thanked his Kazakh counterpart, who "immersed himself in these issues personally, personally deals with this, pays a lot of attention to the issues of modern high technology."

Putin also thanked Tokayev for the fact that Kazakhstan "chose the Russian partner as a strategic partner." "The variant presented by Sber has been chosen by the government of Kazakhstan as the most optimal and with the participation of the president, I know it well," said the Russian head of state.
