Putin says we can find well-balanced solutions on energy market

Russian president Vladimir Putin believes that in the global energy market, OPEC+ manages to find balanced solutions, although disputes are quite tough.

"As for our efforts to stabilize the global energy market, yes, we are in a pretty tough mode: we argue with each other, defend our positions, but we find, so far have found, balanced, acceptable solutions for all parties," said the president. At the end of the plenary session of the Russian Energy Week forum, Putin responded in this way to a question about OPEC+ from an American CNBC reporter, Hedley Gamble. Footage of the interview was broadcast Thursday by the Rossiya-24 television channel.

"And our partners, although they seem to be the leaders in hydrocarbons, in the production and sale of oil, still they make plans for green energy as well, which, at first glance, looks very strange, but it really happens in life," Putin noted. "We are talking to them about the possibility of investing funds, large resources in new technologies and in new energy sources," the Russian leader noted. He believes that "this is a very promising area of our cooperation in the future."

The Russian head of state believes that "the Middle East is a very promising region of the world." "And what I see now both in the United Arab Emirates and in Saudi Arabia - the leadership of these countries is taking energetic steps to diversify their economies. The leadership of these countries is thinking about the future, and I am sure that they will achieve results because they are acting very purposefully," Putin stressed.
