Tour operators noted an increase in demand for tours to Turkey in spring and summer

14 April 2022

Demand for tours to Turkey in spring and summer has increased, there are not many seats left for the next flights, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reports.

"Tour operators have resumed work with the Turkish direction, opening sales of tours formed on the basis of Russian and Turkish airlines. Experts speak about intensification of demand among clients, both with rebooking and with new applications. There are very few seats left for the nearest flights", the report says.

Rebooked trips of Anex Tour make up less than 50% of total sales, which indicates a high demand for vacations in Turkey among Russians and the gradual recovery of the market. Reservations now are mainly for the next two months, but the company believes that the situation will change soon. New applications from Coral Travel accounts for 68% of all bookings for the destination.

Pegas Touristik noted that the flight from Moscow to Antalya on April 15 is sold out, there are only a few tickets left to depart on April 16. Further flights are daily, on some dates there are literally a few tickets left. According to Fun&Sun (former TUI Russia) demand for holidays in Turkey has increased due to the upcoming summer season as well as due to the expansion of flight options.

According to ATOR, consumer preferences of tour operators choosing holidays in Turkey have not changed. They still prefer hotels of high category.
